Even Jim Leyland is a prankster
He doesn't seem like he has much of a sense of humor, but Tigers manager Jim Leyland tried to pull a fast one on hitting coach Lloyd McClendon Monday against Texas. It's pretty easy to joke around when your up-and-down, mostly sub-.500 team is beating up on the American League's best. Thanks to SB Nation Detroit for paying attention.
Nice video Paul. Yep, that Leyland's a regular laugh-fest. Giving Verlander a hot-foot would have them rolling in the aisles. Reminded me of a blast from the past. That smile of his was akin to Ted Cassidy's smile as Lurch of the TV Addams family show. Theoretically possible without their face self-destructing, but you're gonna wait a lot of episodes or games to see it again. And you thought you'd never get a comment. Ha! JL
